Summary: The highlight of the trip was the hour we were able to spend with a mountain gorilla family. They were only a few meters away but ignored us, so cool! Also tree climbing lions and chimps later in the trip. The guide was great, as were the accommodations. One warning: this particular itinerary is condensed and an uncomfortably large percentage of waking hours was spent going from place to place (with lots of bouncing, especially when on dirt roads). If this bothers you, then extend the number of days!
